Raider is a 3 year old adorable boy who ate something he wasn’t supposed to.
By the time he came to see us, he had stopped eating for 5 days. His mom was very worried about him, but wasn’t able to afford veterinary care.
She came to our clinic and asked for help because Raider was getting sicker. She had a high suspicion that he ingested something he wasn’t supposed to because she had seen him eating some bedding 5 days ago.
Dr. Tracy Huang performed an exam and Dr. Lauren Park and her surgery team performed X-rays. The X-rays confirmed he had an obstruction in his intestines.
When Dr. Park took him to surgery, she found that his had a linear obstruction from his stomach to his mid small intestines causing his intestines to “plicate” or bunch up together like an accordion.
The foreign body was removed from the intestines and stomach and Raider made a full recovery.
Thank you @sagecompassionforanimals for funding his surgery. Together we were able to save his life.
Please donate through our website www.vetsinvans.org to help more pets like Raider and help @vetsinvans save more lives.
