On-site Volunteer Opportunities

• Technician Assistant Volunteer: This opportunity is designed for folks working in more traditional clinical settings who are interested in learning more about community medicine, or folks who are just getting a start in the veterinary or animal welfare field. References and some prior experience required for this role. 

• Customer Service Representative (CSR) Volunteer: Best for folks who are interested in helping others navigate the veterinary system and who are comfortable using computers and performing office tasks. References and prior customer service experience required for this role.

Offsite Event Volunteer Opportunities

• Food Pantry Volunteer: Assist with bagging and/or distributing pet food at a monthly food pantry in Visitacion Valley, San Francisco. Cantonese speaking ability and access to reliable transportation preferred. 

• Events Volunteer: Represent Vets in Vans at different events in the Bay Area, from local community gatherings to signature events. Assist with set-up, breakdown, and interact with members of the public in a positive and professional manner. Access to reliable transportation preferred.

• Vaccine Clinic Volunteer: Assist technicians with check-in, line control, drawing up vaccines, and fear-free restraint. References and some prior experience required for this role.
