Willow's Story
This 8-week-old kitten came to us through San Francisco Animal Care & Control (SFACC), one of our key partner organizations. Willow had a painful injury called a mandibular avulsion, which basically means her lower jaw had pulled away from where it should be. Eating, grooming, and even resting comfortably would have been really hard for her.
SFACC reached out to see if we could repair her jaw and spay her during the same procedure so she could heal safely and get ready for adoption. We were able to take her in, fix her up, and get her comfortable again. By the next day, she was already asking for attention and showing off her tiny kitten personality.
We are so thankful for our partnership with SFACC. Together we are able to keep more animals home with their families and prevent shelter intake. If you are looking for a new furry family member, please consider adopting from your local shelter. There are so many wonderful animals waiting to go home ❤️.
