Canelo's Story

Canelo is a 13-year-old Jack Russell Terrier who was referred to us after being diagnosed with osteosarcoma — a type of bone cancer — in his shoulder blade. After meeting with our team, we scheduled him right away for an amputation with Dr. Huang to remove the cancer and give him the best chance at a pain-free life.

In the weeks after surgery, Canelo came back for his pain patch removal and later for his staple removal. He handled each visit like a champ and has been recovering well at home with his family.
